Alternator Amperage Info
When entering your alternator’s amperage, remember that not all of the rated output is available for your accessories. The engine typically uses about 60% of the alternator’s output. For example, if you have a 100A alternator, the engine might draw roughly 60A, leaving you with around 40A available. For a 300A alternator, subtract about 60A to estimate around 240A available.

Amplifier Efficiency Info
Amplifier efficiency is the ratio of power delivered to your speakers versus the power drawn into the amplifier. We use a default of 80% as a balanced estimate. However, this can vary—lower-end (Chinese) boards might run at around 60%, Korean boards closer to 80%, and high-quality Brazilian boards can reach up to 90%.
